Dear Ayu,
Consistency in this world is often fleeting. We can be on top of the world one minute, and the next we might be plummeting into despair. I'm pretty sure you know that much better than I do. But...what I'm trying to say is...through all of those times, your music is what has gotten me through it.
When I'm frustrated with something, you inspire me to perservere and plow through. When I'm sad about something, you remind me that it will soon be over. When I'm unbearably happy, you have told me to enjoy every moment. I'm grateful that you have shown me these things.
I'm extremely sorry about your hearing loss in the left ear. But your perserverence, strength, and determination to continue pursuing your passion is as inspiring as the profound lyrics you pen. I, along with all of your fans, will support your decisions, because we love you and your music and wish that you are happy. I hope that the legacy of Ayu only becomes bigger and bigger from here on out.
Please take care and do whatever you do need to do to be happy. Your happiness is our happiness. Like you yourself said in the Countdown Live New Year's message, "You were never alone. I was never alone. We always had each other." Let that ring truer than ever now.
