Yeah, the singles market has been lagging over the past few years. It's really undeniable that MDs, mp3s, and P2P sharing has affected singles sales. Also, the economy, lack of something 'new' out there to stablize the loss of many top groups has really emptied out the top ten. Some of the top singles lately have been really weird or things that wouldn't have had a chance a few years ago. I notice that these days, there are no huge artists besides ayu and a handleful of others where all their singles hit the top ten. It seems to be just a case-by-case basis at this point.

Still, she continues to release new and varied material. I think it's only a matter of time before she hits it huge again if she keeps up at this rate. (That's my hope anyway.)
