I blame the luke-warm sales on
2 Hearts too & just to the fact that X just isn't as good as everyone hoped it'd be
too many good tracks ended up on the cutting floor in favor of "trendy" tracks like Nu-Di-Ty by the "hippest & most happening" producers like Bloodshy & Avant.
Bloodshy & Avant tracks aren't bad necessarily, but they might aswell have been on Britney's Blackout. there's really nothing
Kylie about them.
IMo if you're been in the business for few decades already, you shouldn't be the one to chase after trends. you should be the one who creates them
