Personally, I was really pissed about the entire single to begin with. I thought glitter sounded like fairyland and BLUE BIRD, and was too generic to be memorable. fated never really impressed me either. Now, I can say that I like glitter, but I certainly don't love it. fated actually got worse in my opinion. I like it less than the first few times I listened to it. Overall, I do like glitter, but I don't necessarily appreciate it.
But to all those people saying everyone who doesn't like it was being fussy, I say shove it. People are allowed to be critical if that's how they feel, especially when Ayu has done much more creative songs. The comment calling "glitter haters" "crazies" is perhaps the most moronic I've heard in a long while. I'm most certainly not saying that I don't appreciate glitter because it isn't like her older songs. talkin' 2 myself was one of her best singles in awhile, and she's consistently been able to have fantastic tracks on every album, despite a few slip ups here and there. And I don't see how so many people seem to think that everyone hates glitter when you look at this topic and practically the entire board is saying they love it.
