The vinyls have extra mixes that are different than the ones on the CDs like extended, dub, and instrumental tracks for use in DJing. The shortened radio mixes do not lend themselves well to DJing so that's why they put them on the albums instead. Vinyl can also be ripped in perfect quality like CDs can, it's just a bit different of a process.
