No, the shipments units does not have anything to do with the number of items...the shipments units are related to the size and weight of the item/package of your order...
take this for example ->
GUILTY poster
they are only sending you
1 poster..but it says "3 shipments units"...thats because the posters that they send are in those big tubes (or "a protective packaging with an extra thick cardboard tube" they say) they use this as a reference for the shipment fee....if you order something via express service, any shipment unit will increase the amount of the shipment fee.
