The different Ayus definitely represent something. I got a Matrix-like vibe. My boyfriend, who posts under the name "Idealist" here, has a very fascinating analysis about the plot, which he is just about to post himself.

Whereas something like JEWEL was just eye candy, this is eye candy, and it's interesting. One thing we discovered was the lingerie Ayu was looking at herself in a mirror! (Look closely -- there is a frame around this scene.)
LOl yea, its definitely not her worst sheesh...Daybreak was totally...erhmm...nothingness...

I think Ayu is an agent. The men in black have a listening device and a radio transmitioner, so they're listening in on her. Agent Ayu, Hamasaki Ayu is crossing the bridge calmly until she releases she's being followed. Time to take a hike.

Then we get to the red dress part. She's teasing them, because she knows she's better than them and no matter what they cannot catch her. You know, the handkerchief thing. Usually a lady would drop her handkerchief because she wanted the man she admired to pick it up and return it to her, that would give him a reason to start a conversation with her. Ayu definitely doesn't admire those guys, it's just a tease. I'm beautiful, I'm strong, and you can never have me.

She's taking a call in the phone booth, to her co-buddy. And gets suddenly surrounded by mib. With her movements and expressions she's saying: I'm not afraid you, I'm strong and I'm taking the call anyway. We see a car appear. Obviously the men are afraid of its driver cause they pull back. Ayu tosses her head, before entering the car. It's like saying "I showed ya, didn't I?"
i tot she was and agent too! haha..and yea, that hankerchief part u mentioned made sense...

ANYWAY! IDEALIST U TOTALLY ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
