I'm surprised anyone--especially someone like him--would badmouth one of their peers publically. I don't care who it is, really. I can't imagine someone questioning the integrity of another singer in a public place. It happens, yes, but it is quite rare. Who needs rivalries in the media, anyway? Aren't the tabloids enough to worry about? I can't believe that Alan Tam would criticize another artist, especially a foreign one.

Seriously, I can't understand people. Almost all singers sing a little off during parts of their lives, anyway. I'd like to critique some of his performances and let you know. LOL

I suspect it's dislike for ayu because she's a foreigner. My gut instinct says that he is displeased at a foreigner stepping in on his turf. Maybe all these assumptions are wrong, but I don't understand why he would single ayu out in the first place.

I think I heard him singing with Chinen Rina during the 2000 Sino-Japanese Music Concert... He was an okay singer... (they sang Careless Whisper by George Michael together, btw) and his voice isn't anything to write home about. *Shrugs* Maybe I'm getting a little presumptuous here, too. Gomen, gomen. Ignore me if this offends you in the least. I'm just supposing the situation.
