I'm not sure about the others, but I think she did watch HERO (at least the first episode). I remember she wrote something on her message (back then she posted it on her official website) that she totally forgot CYKAS? was the EP when watching that episode. I'm not sure if she watched the remainings tho... I kinda guess she did, or else she wouldn't appear on one episode as a kawaii waitress

Well, Both Distance and A BEST were benefited from the battle. To make you feel happier, the
first day sale of Distance was about 1.5 - 1.6 million copies, and I think A BEST was similar to that (about 1. 5 million?).
And First Love should have a higher debut week if Toshiba shipped enough stocks to the cd stores. I think back then someone said the album was sold out in the first 3 days, and it was out of stock for the next 1 or 2 days.. (I wasn't her fan till the may 1999, so I'm not really sure if that's 100% correct).
