I've always found Namie to be a kind of mix of Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson and Aaliyah. Mariah because they both transitioned from Pop to R&B. Janet because they both are well known in the industry for their dancing. Aaliyah because I think that the slick and smooth dance movements of the two are just so similar.
