I personally think he writes just as nicely as Ayu (and in some cases better), but it's a matter of opinion
. There's actually several songs of Ayu and Dir en grey's that remind me of each other on the lyrics alone. I made a whole playlist out of them lol.
And lyrics are the most important to me, too~ They can make or break a song, IMHO: if the words don't make sense it can put off a whole song for me.
