Actually, she has gone to the doctors quite a long time ago. I'm sure she's been treating her codition and taking care of it for a long time. However, unfiortunately not all diseases have the best outcomes for everyone. It probably just happened that ayu's case was refractory to any treatment and there was nothing the physicians could do - it just progressed to what it is now.
