The point was, the magazines have to invite her to be the cover.
She cant just ask... -_-; or rather, her people to ask.
It's not very "Avex" like for her to say such things.
No matter how much control she has in her contract,
She still HAS a contract. It's just PRACTICAL for Avex to demand some sort of promotions. They will lose money if theres no promotion.
For the practical side, you cant just outright say that she said that kind of thing.
In Japan, thats not really possible for her to say.
What would be the purpose of saying those things..
if she truly didnt wanna do those things, then Wacoal promo wouldnt have been done, no matter if its mama.
