I've gotta say that some people are taking this the wrong way.

No one is saying that Ayu is a robot or that she should be putting things out as fast as she can, but this year has been one of her worst years for promotional activities and so on. I don't know why I have to keep repeating myself, but people seem to think that this thread is about a lack of single releases and that she needs MORE MORE MORE MORE, but whoever does think that is being a complete idiot. So what if you're speaking out for Ayu right now? She's not exactly doing a lot this year other than her tour, and imo, it comes across as lazy [kind of, not that she's actually lazy since she's sort of busting her butt off doing the tours and stuff..]. I mean she's done the tours and the promotion before, so what the heck happened? Last year she was fine and got glitter done so that it could be performed at the end of the tour, the year before that she released Startin'/Born To Be.. and still promoted it while touring.. it's not like she's not capable, so why didn't she do more to make this year special?

I'm sorry if some of you can't accept the fact that Ayu did a lot less than usual this year, but it's true. Barely any appearances for Mirrorcle World, and a year that is just "touring, touring, touring" with CDL07-08 planning running into AT08 planning running into a-nation '08 planning which runs into AT08 planning some more which ends and then runs into CDL08-09 planning.. it's just ENDLESS for Ayu, but usually she still finds time to shoot beautiful magazine photoshoots and record amazing songs for us. It's times like this [rarely happens] when I really feel like I don't want to be an Ayu fan because of the people who are unable to criticize Ayu when something's actually wrong. Sure, it's okay to like a song when everyone hates it or a PV when everyone's panning it, but this time, it's really different. She just hasn't DONE anything other than perform. I'm sure many people would agree with me, and it seems like some of you have this belief that when people complain, it's just about "SINGLES SINGLES SINGLES" which is all I've been hearing in the rebuttals about this.

I'd say that for all of you saying that we aren't Ayu and we don't know how she feels and such, you're doing an awful lot of talking for her. I'm sticking to the argument that some Ayu fans just don't give Ayu enough credit and they think she's a frail little woman who is going to break if someone tells her she's fat or ugly, so people defend DEFEND DEFEND like the wind as if it's going to help, but it's not. Just because you're satisfied/okay with Ayu's apparent lack of a willingness to go around and promote MW or even make a new single doesn't mean that there are other people out there who disagree. I'm tired of the people saying "She needs REST!! SHE NEEDS REST!!" and they're talking as though she's been working every single day since the tour started, which definitely isn't the case. She has a week to rest and two days to perform [usually.] I'll admit that when she lost her voice and stuff, I was concerned since the tour had just started, but she still performed regardless of that. Ayu is such a strong woman and I don't think many of you know that. It's like "OH SHE'S MY GODDESS AND THUS SHE NEEDS HER REST WHY DO YOU GUYS WANT SO MUCH??!?!#?!" No one's asking her to release 10 singles in 10 weeks. No one's asking her to shoot 10,000 magazine covers in a year.

All that I've been asking throughout this entire thread is for Ayu to, you know, act like Ayu and do what she does usually. She totally ditched the promotion for Mirrorcle World, which leads me to think that she possibly didn't believe in the single or something... and wtf. An Ayu 10th anniversary with NO TV APPEARANCES and NO CD DATA? There's something wrong there, and I think that many of you are just too blind to see that she just hasn't been working as hard as she usually does. Ayu LOVES to work and she even said so herself, so why did she do like, NOTHING for MW? Please, explain that to me. Don't say that she needs rest, or something that's been said before that makes absolutely no sense at all [as if I'm making sense though right now but whatever.].. just try to explain it! Explain why she just left MW the way it was with FOUR magazines and TWO TV performances without the mindless drivel that she needs rest and all that. EXPLAIN why she wasn't able to make ONE new song to perform during the AT08 final. EXPLAIN THAT.

It's like, you guys think that she has to put every single ounce of her body into making something, so just because someone wants a little more, you call them selfish and all that insulting garbage. tbh, Ayu's not trying hard enough and it seems like it shows. For 9 years, she'd given us 110%, but I think this year... we've gotten a lot less.

[in no way am I saying that I want her to do MORE MORE MORE, but seriously now, Ayu's been underperforming in comparison with her 1998-2007 past selves, and it's totally obvious and some of you are not seeing it.

Basically, what I want to say is, don't just expect everything's okay now because we don't know it it's okay. I suppose you're right, we don't know that everything isn't okay, but given the circumstances, I'd lean toward everything being not okay. How could everything be okay? Within the course of a year she lost her boyfriend, and a dear friend died. Separately they could be worked through quick-ish, but so close to each other is really a painful situation.

What we should seriously do is stop complaining. We want her to release something to celebrate her anniversary, she unveils A Complete. What do the majority of us do? Instead of going "Yay! She's doing something!" we go "ew, what a horrible idea...". We want a new single, rumors fly around about "One's all/claim" what do we do? "I hate the titles I hope it's fake".

The way I see it, she just can't win no matter what she does >.>
Ayu lost the closest woman to her when she debuted [her grandma] and she still made it through that. I'm pretty sure that loss made her stronger than ever in terms of handling loss and stuff, as she still went on to promote poker face and all of the singles afterwards... and etc.

Stop complaining? You know, I once thought this, that people should really stop complaining, but tbh, many of the people out there who are "complaining" are just concerned. A COMPLETE is an idea that should've been executed for the 10th anniversary ON THE ACTUAL 10TH ANNIVERSARY DATE, and instead we're getting it in what, the 2nd week of September? WTF IS THAT? And rumors have been flying around since before you came to AHS, so it really doesn't matter. What you need to accept is that there are people that aren't going to like what's being done and there are people that will love it. Usually, I love it x 10 like the world revolves around Ayu, but this year just seems empty to me. TO MEEEE. THE HUUUUUUUUUUGE AYU FAN who was like "lol why does everyone hate Life WTF haters! WHYYYYY." It's not like I don't enjoy Mirrorcle World and appreciate it and all that, but seriously, what the heck is Ayu doing releasing a completely random single collection in the middle of September with random unreleased footage on it? It's like, she only has ONE NEW THING on that release. We waited for 3 months to get what, a new version of Who...? This is basically the year of rehashes... she redid MW, and Life was the only new song on that single with two redone versions of debut singles, and now we've got a new Who.... WTF AYU.

Since the year started [and remember, we're MORE THAN HALFWAY THROUGH] we've only gotten one totally new track, and apparently everyone except me hates it. Tell me if that doesn't scream "WRONG!!!! SO WRONG!" to you.
