It'd be curious to see how some of you would've reacted if Ayu wasn't mentioned at all. Like sxesven said, to be ranked is at least something worth being happy for, as she beat out other artists like Namie. Even still, it doesn't make her more or less of an artist because of these results. To me, I think this is all based on some rigid criteria, like album/single sales, advertising, involvement in the community, overall contribution to jpop, etc. So congrats to Ayu, as she's proven that time has yet to slow her down
