Well, if you purchase the items in Japan, you at least have a chance of getting SOMETHING. I mean, they have the lottery thing right there and you choose from a box to get a letter, and you get your prize right there. [until they run out]
However, they have to compromise online, since any number of people from like 10 to hundreds of people can buy the release.. I think it was a wise decision to say exactly how many winners there could be.
As for whether or not they should do the prize lottery.. eh. It's much like how mu-mo has the extras for only mu-mo or TeamAyu members. There's always some sort of special giveaway that someone misses out on, and this really isn't any different. It adds an element of fun to buying a CD, you know? Like "Wow, I might actually get something!".. but some people sorta take that too far and think they're 99% sure to get something and they end up disappointing themselves.
Though the argument that "ENOUGH stickers should be included with the limited press" is sorta.. meh, since there are hundreds of thousands of first press copies made, it just wouldn't make sense.
