The gold colored-disc was released to celebrate 1 million copies, and the real gold disc with the gold cover was released to celebrate 1.5 million copies sold.
The black IS the unlimited regular version, and the other colors (red/pink, orange, green, and blue) are all limited. I don't know the counts for sure, but these were the numbers on HCE's old site (I don't know his source, so I couldn't tell you for sure if this is correct, but it's all we got):
Black variant : non-limited (the regular pressing)
Red variant : 70,000 copies
Green variant : 70,000 copies
Orange variant : 70,000 copies
Blue variant : 70,000 copies
Gold variant 1 : 100,000 copies
Gold variant 2 : 150,000 copies
I also don't know which gold version is which, I didn't keep that info. but I assume the 1 million celebration version is "variant 1" and the 1.5 million celebration version is "variant 2". Which is weird cuz you'd expect the 'nicer' gold version to be more rare. But whatever. Like I said, I dunno the source of these numbers.
And they all came with stickers initially, but in later pressings of old CDs, the information on the stickers (the tie-ins) is no longer relevant so the stickers are usually phased out over time.
