Well, as with most [if not many] Ayu songs, this has to grow on you. I'm sure not everyone loved evolution / other I am..-era songs on first listen..
Looking at previous Panasonic CMs, the songs that we knew of previously via Ayu's site or something that would have a CM were usually A-sides, and the ones that came very early before a single announcement were album tracks or 2nd A-sides / B-sides..
Starting with 2004..
GAME -> c/w for INSPIRE -> released before a single announcement
CAROLS & CAROLS Classical-> we knew of the single beforehand [or at least got a clue of it..]
walking proud -> album track
my name's WOMEN -> album track
STEP you -> ? Not sure. I remember a lot of people being surprised though.
alterna -> c/w -> came out before fairyland's announcement, I believe..
Will -> c/w -> came out randomly, after HEAVEN's preview, but before a single announcement I think
Bold&Delicious -> main A-side -> CM came out after single release I think
Ladies Night ~another night~ -> rearrangement -> CM came out sometime in the 1st quarter of 2006 and it came out on BLUE BIRD months later
Beautiful Fighters -> 2nd A-side/c/w/B-side -> Don't really remember much here..
JEWEL -> album track -> waaay before release
1 LOVE -> album track -> before release, not as far as JEWEL
part of Me -> best-of affiliated song -> released close to A BEST 2
talkin' 2 myself -> lead A-side -> full song leaked way before CM came out
Mirrorcle World -> lead A-side -> we knew of the CM / song from locals who were around in Venice
GREEN -> ? likely to be a 2nd A-side / c/w / B-side..
