2. Ayu is fake. She had her eyes done and sets a bad example for self image.
3. Ayu is such a diva. She's *****y and an over-the-top control freak.

She's reached that level of fame where the country is split on her. Half hate her, half love her, and the middle ground is slim. It just comes with the territory, and it doesn't reflect her as an artist or a person.
You know I hear quite the opposite from Japanese people I know. A lot of them think she is a strong woman and admire her but may not necessarily buy her music. I guess it's like you said, the country is split, some love her, some are annoyed with her. I guess we would have to consider someone who is over promoted in the U.S. to understand what it must be like for the Japanese to experience Ayu for a decade. Personally, I wouldn't mind, I think she's a strong figure in the music industry and a great role model.

And to be honest, I don't know why people STILL think of Koda Kumi as a sl*t anymore. Nothing she's done since before "BUT" screams sl*t to me... In my opinion, she's toned it down alot. Her dance moves aren't as erotic and even if she's not dressing like a nun, she doesn't dress much out of the realm of "pop-star." I started to realize her change in image when she did the PV for FREAKY entirely dressed, at some parts, in rags xD;
