Utena-- thank you for the kanji lyrics! I tried my hand at a translation of Kaze no Tegami, as well. [This is super good practice for me since I just finished up my intensive Japanese summer course and I'm on a little break before the course and regular classes at school...]

Even if you ran while you wrote the words, it's okay
You only need to say one thing
The feelings you couldn't convey are bubbling up from the ground
I feel your pain
I'll be listening to your heart
Even if we're apart, or if we run out of time
You and I will never be late
I'm embracing your wish
I'm gazing at your future
If someone thinks it, the world can begin to change
The answer is blowin' in the wind
The afternoon breeze that caressed my cheeks has left me
It has traveled far away to you, climbing those hills
The photograph of the young man bound by his duty
The taxi driver in the early morning hours
The small girl who wrote a letter to Santa Claus
Now, call my name, call out to me
(A wind is born, the clouds flow away, flowing back to you, back to your side)
I hope the wind will dry your tears
(Grow your wings, you'll reach love)
I feel your pain
I'll be listening to your heart
Even if we're apart, or if we've run out of time
We're still connected
I'm embracing your wish
I'm gazing at your future
If someone thinks it, the world can begin to change, can begin to shine
The answer is blowin' in the wind
