I already aired most of my opinions over at loveleahdizon@LJ but here's a summary of my thoughts:
- shocked, YES! I'm glad to hear this isn't some super old dude that she married, though, it's a reasonable age for Japanese shotgun weddings. However, as with most shotgun marriages, this one is unlikely to last
- I personally think the tears were of fear and regret. They were unlike any happy tears I've ever seen.
- This is not good for her career. The marriage/pregnancy all but kills her gravure career, her Japanese isn't good enough for most variety shows, and her singing one is not good enough to continue after hiatus. She is no Namie, no Hitomi, those women had very successful music careers and in Namie's case, she's a jpop icon.
- I am still a Leah fan and hope she's happy but am afraid this won't end well.
