It really depends on who found the ring. If it had been some really poor person, would it be so wrong to sell it? What if that person has a family to feed? To give it back to somebody who can simply afford another one would also seem a bit selfish. Poverty changes people and you can't blame them for doing things for survival that you deem to be immoral. If I knew it was Ayu's ring, I don't know what I would do.
