You can't blame him for thinking that way and I don't think it was to that extent. I'm thinking they meant something like "why not pick a high-selling artist to create high-sales for the game..."? Anyways, like it or not, sales are undeniably some kind of factor showing how popular/in demand a certain artist is. You can't argue that someone who sells 2,000,000 copies isn't popular or even for that matter someone who sells 500 copies is. Just saying.

I never said anything like that. All I said was that sales indicaters are not always indicative of the quality of the music, and Tetsuya Nomura stated why he chose to use him. SE does not choose artists because they are popular, but mostly because they fit in with the feel of the game. Ayaka was hardly popular before the release of "Why...", same for Koda Kumi with "Real Emotion" and "1000 words".
And I always thought Gackt was popular anyway. Not getting #1 on a chart doesn't change that fact.

It was rather rude for you to jump like that. Lol.

Have you seen this person's other posts...? No? Then you have no business calling me "rude". Just saying.
