Just because Namie is too shy to say what lyrics she wrote/show her lyrics as opposed to Ayu who lays it all out there with hardcore rock tracks/heartwrenching ballads doesn't mean that Namie's songs aren't representative of her. She wouldn't sing them if they weren't. And, if I'm not mistaken, she took a very active role in producing PLAY. Lyrical writing isn't everything, look at Avril Lavigne. And all of this comparing is making my head hurt omg

How do you know she isn't just bad at writing lyrics

LOL No! Ayu is still the one who takes active control over her MUSIC and not just the lyrics, remember how she explained why she wanted the same composer for Together When.. who did Key? Or how she wanted tasuku to arrange GREEN cuz she wanted a melanholic rock song? Mirrocle World was FAR from POP. And imo Ayu's music is getting better and better and different with each new release, as unlike others you can't really predict what's it gonna sound like.

Why DID she want the same composer of key for Together When?
Writing lyrics is what makes music special and not your average mindless dance track, but ok
