actually.. If you're able to speak and understand plain english, then it's extremely obvious that the original first post is misleading. I actually study 'language science' at university; and I would say the first post is pragmatically very interesting. I'm with chocopocky on this one.
If you say that 'someone translated some stuff, but you filled in the gaps and you did the japanese, romaji and english yourself' , then you're using a certain presupposition:
1) you're saying that the japanese, romaji and english is mainly for the gaps. BUT, since it's written in a presupposition, most readers will automatically think it goes for the whole text. Making them think you did all of it.
2) mentioning the 'japanese, romaji and english' is summing up what is done. Since there is no 3rd person (1st person: YOU, 2nd person: The readers, 3rd person: would be Chocopockymaster) mentioned in that summing up, people automatically think the 1st person, thus you, did those things.
That, adding to the fact that more than 50% of the lyrics weren't translated by you; makes chocopockymaster absolutely right. And that is professionaly speaking.
I see you edited your original post. The way it is edited is much better (except for the last part, that people don't know how much you did yourself, but that's okay); but I do not see an apology yet...
thanks for reading
