SHOCK is Koichi Domoto's musical. he picks a kouhai to co-star with him. Ohkura did it last year. & Ryo's done it also. KAT-TUN were back-up dancers for SHOCK before they started being famous, since Koichi made them & all. they stopped SHOCK once they started getting famous & to do work on DREAMBOYS.
DREAMBOYS was once Takizawa Hideaki's musical/play about boxing, but now the lead is Kame. KAT-TUN & KANJANI8 used to work together A LOT (...which probably explains why they're the 2 JE groups i like most, LMAO). after Tackey left it, KT & K8 used to headline it together, but i'm assuming since both groups are really busy now, Kame headlines it by himself (Koki co-starred last year).
DREAMBOYS 2006 KAT-TUN vs. KANJANI8 DVD is one of the most interesting things i've ever watched, LOL. Yokoyama Yuu played a brilliant evil guy & Kame quit boxing to become a circus performer. xDD;;
but yeah, KT & K8 are heavily related to the 2 musicals since they've done work with both. more so with DREAMBOYS.
