Loved 'em from the start-- and still love 'em!
There are probably a few too many of these, so I'll just list a few:
CAROLS-- Before I heard this song, I actually didn't care for Ayumi at all. I remember saying how I thought she sounded like a squirrel. :x A friend of mine who also didn't like Ayumi sent me the PV and I became hooked on it instantly. My less than admiration for Ayu slowly started to shift.
About You-- I heard this song soon after I began to like Ayu after listening to CAROLS. I found the Music Fair performance on YouTube. I was so hooked on this song, just as with CAROLS. When I found out they were from the same album, MY STORY, I immediately downloaded it and soon purchased it.
alterna-- The same friend that showed me the CAROLS PV also sent me the audio rip of the Lumix CM this was used in. After hearing that preview, I was absolutely head over heels for Ayu. The first release of her's I followed was fairyland and I've been following ever since.
Memorial address-- This song is probably the Ayu song with the most special place in my heart. The first time I heard this song was watching it being preformed at AT03-04 and while watching it (yes, for the very first time as ironic as it may seem) I learned that my best friend had attempted suicide. It's a beautiful, beautiful song that I am very emotionally tied to.
I have loved all these songs from play one and I still do! Sorry for the long descriptions~ (_ _)
Loved em' at first-- not so much now.
Hmm... This one is a bit difficult. *looks through library*
Here we go:
HANABI-- It's lost it's "UMPH." for me. I don't really get the same emotional feeling I used to out of it. I'll always love the part building up to the chorus though.
Startin'-- I don't know how I ever liked this song, to be honest. There's something so generic about it. It just bugs me. I still listen to it every once in a while though, and I wouldn't say I dislike it.
M-- This song bothers me so much. I feel like it could've been so much better! The last two minutes of the song amaze me-- but the first two are so boring most of the time I can't make it or have to skip to the last two!
Life-- Loved it at first listen, but it has since become oh so boring and even more forgettable. I almost never play this anymore unless I don't notice when it comes on after Mirrorcle World.
Loved 'em at first-- then wondered what the hell got into you. XD
HEAVEN-- Same thing going on here as with HANABI and M. First half of the song bores me to tears and the second half has lost it's glint. The "la la~" part is still nice though! And the DAISHI DANSE remix is to die for~
Pride-- I think the only reason I ever liked this song is because, compared to Bold & Delicious, it truly is an amazing song. But once the rest of (miss)understood was out and I could judge it against those songs, I was like "eww, why?" I don't like songs where she uses that gospel choir thing.
If I think of anymore, I'll be sure to add them later.
So-so at first listen, but grew to love~
Will-- OMG. This is one of my all-time favorite Ayu songs everrrr~ It just took a few listens to grow on me, and for me to ignore that odd, screeching noise at the very beginning of the song! "Hira, hira, hira, hira~ ♪♫"
Together When...-- I wasn't very enthralled by this song at first listen, but after listening to GUILTY through so many times, it's become a favorite ballad of mine-- along with "JEWEL."
So-so at first listen and remain just 'okay.'
fated-- Meh, not much to say... It's an 'okay' song. I wish she would've put more emotion into the last few choruses. Then it could've been a lot more memorable for me!
untitled ~for her~-- Another "meh..." song. Nothing really much to say about it. Lacked any kind of "umph!" needed to really make me love it.
So-so songs that later made you think, "oh, I gave that one too much credit."
teens-- WTH is this? Just... no. I would've preferred some lame house mix to this on the single. I guess I just really don't like Ayu songs featuring the vocals of others in any sort of way. XD
