I think it's because of the cumulated effect as not only the guys act in dramas/movies , they also host 3 variety shows at this point in time so I guess both played a bit part in getting to their current status
also it depends on whether the single they release have some major tie in or not .
like for One Love , it's still hovering in the top30 , 7 months + since the release & it was used to promote Hana Yori Dango Final the movie & the movie since became 1 of Japan's top grossing movie last year
last I checked it clocked in a whopping US$89 million
