that's probably because the wiki page for Avex seriously sucks.
They don't even talk about Ayu in the history part...yet they mention Ami Suzuki?
Ayu was once responsible for over 40% of their income. Avex would be nothing without her, and Ayu isn't stupid enough to not own any shares.
In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if she "requested" them during A BEST and I am... era when they were whoring her out lol
