it's not easy for non Japanese to crack the Japan market , quite a lot have tried & failed & only a handful have managed to maintain decent popularity in there (like alan , Anna Tsuchiya even though she's born in Japan but because of her mixed blood origins her sales aren't as fantastic as it should be even though her music's awesome , OLIVIA)

& yeah she should start writing/composing more of her stuff , that I agree . YUI did it everything hands on so Yuna probably want to take a leaflet or 2 from her

If I'm not mistaken , Yuna probably co-composed Mahaloha ? I know she cowrote it with Def Tech's Micro , I don't know for composing
Yeah and she's half Korean. Utada did well I think because she introduced R&B or whatever she did before she turned to pop. And her parents are well known in Japan.

Yes Yuna did co-composed the single. She has skills, look at Ima Demo Zutto, not her single but she co-wrote and co-composed and the song is AMAZING.
