NO LINE ON THE HORIZON

The cover of the album was shot by famed Japanese photographer, Hiroshi Sugimoto, and supposedly represents the sea meeting the sky.

Any fans of U2 here? I was eager to listen to their new album, but was only able to order it recently. My brother told me I shouldn't have ordered it because he said the whole thing sucked (he downloaded the album beforehand ). I had not listened to any song from it yet. I just received it yesterday, and I actually love this album. The songs are calmer and laid back compared to HOW TO DISMANTLE AN ATOMIC BOMB, and maybe a little less pop-commercial, but maybe it's just me, not sure. The whole thing didn't sink in at first listen, so I thought it was a little bit dull, but then, now I'm actually loving it. Magnificent is, yeah, magnificent, i love the guitars, so catchy. I'm addicted to it. And I LOVE Unknown Caller, specially the guitar solo in the end. The old school 70's "disco" rock on both Get On Your Boots and specially Stand Up Comedy are very good imo . FeZ-being born has great instrumentation..quite mysterious. "i'll Go Crazy If I Don't go Crazy Tonight" is probably the poppiest most usual U2 song on the album. it's still pretty catchy imo. I love the album as a whole. Maybe not a fan of a song or two on it, but overall, I definitely didn't regret buying it!
