Melrose's banning was completely routine, so whatever you are being told or whatever you are speculating is incorrect.
As has been posted already, warning and bans are supposed to be strictly between the individual member and the staff, so don't expect any moderators to comment on those things, except in unusual cases like the DerrickRocks incident. A reason was posted that time because what he did was not against the rules, but it was so offensive that the staff decided that a permanent ban was warranted.
