It's supposed to be spoofy, campy, cheesy, and outrageous. The theme is like Startin'. You guys are seriously way too young or just don't get Asian Idol culture at all. She's not being "cute", it's more of a parody of the wholesome image of past idols. Didn't you see her in the red latex? Isn't that rique enough for you? Off topic but: Did you think Startin' was an attempt to be "hip hop" or a spoof of wannabe hip hop culture? It's the latter.
