It was amazing seeing Hikki last night at Sephora, but everything else sucked! >_<
I thought the whole promotion at Sephora was rather random and Sephora just in general conducted and handled everything extremely poor. I can understand to an extent that, in such events things do get hectic, especially with a ton of fans bunched into small spaces being crammed together, but they were really unprofessional and disorganized. For example, after Utada spoke about some of her songs, and fan questions, we all had to get in a line to take photos with her, etc. Well they started letting anyone come into the store to shop, well most of them went to the front so I'm sure some of them probably got in line and maybe got photos with her? But I'd say only 10 to 15 people actually got photos with her it looked like. And when they announced to the crowd that, Utada had to leave to get on a flight, they said to go to the front to get Utada gift bags and autographed photos, well no one from Sephora was even in front, so by the time people rushed over, almost half of the crowd got kicked out of sephora and they closed the front doors locking people out. It got so bad that they lied to everyone saying they had no more of the Sephora/Utada gift bags and sent everyone out, but my friends went back after the crowd cleared outside and they went to asked if there were anymore, well this table that had black table cloth over it where they had RSVP books to get wristbands in the beginning, they had all the merchandise they were supposed to hand out underneath in crates and they were lucky to get some. That was disgusting that they just didn't want to deal with it and get everyone out of the store to be done with it.
It doesn't sound to bad I suppose, I guess being there it obviously was seeing it first hand amount some of the other stuff going on there with the staff, but honestly it was UTADA and completely amazing to breath the same air as her, haha. See her in person, that good stuff.
