Never heard of a problem with making polls... if it keeps freezing like that, it may be a problem with IE. My suggestion is to see about clearing your Internet Explorer cache (Tools > Internet Options > Delete Files) and see if that fixes the problem. At times, a large cache makes things sluggish or not work right, so hopefully, this should fix the problem
