I used to dislike her earlier stuff, until I actually gave it a chance. But it is like that for almost everyone ( sadly) they either hate a singers early works, and only listen to the new stuff, or the are nostalgia *censored* and feel that they have "lost her touch" or something. ( though I haven't met anyone like that for namie yet.) I tend to enjoy both, since each style is different for each generation.
