I guess I understand that, but only when SOME artists do it.
Ayaka, for example, is 'popular' you can say, but her single sales suck. Like her last album sold 600,000 copies but her singles barely crack 50,000 so I don't get it when she releases double a-sided singles and then doesn't even bother to make a video for both songs! They're *supposed* to promote both songs because they're, assumingly, supposed to both be profitable... So why just not make it a normal single and make the second a b-side? I don't know if I'm making any sense.
Back to Ayu... she didn't even do one PV for }{ and that was the highest selling single of the year so I guess it varies..
