my opinion: i think every pop artists in the world owes alot to MJ.
Wether you like him or hate him - he made Pop what it is today.
I think it is a sign of respect when someone acknowledges that.
Wether Ayu will comment something? I dont know... Perhaps, perhaps not. Many artists have not - and many wont.
My personal opinion is very strong that anyone who performs pop sould hold some moment of thanks to his hard work - wether they do that publicly or privatly - it really does not matter.
