I find it hard to believe that a release that flopped badly sold 2.5 millions digitally. Now I find this very interesting
GReeeeN - Kiseki:
On May 28, 2009, the sales of the full-track digital-format version (Chaku-Uta Full) of the song passed 2.3 million copies, surpassing the sales of Thelma Aoyama's single "Soba ni Iru ne" and becoming the best-selling full-track digital single in Japan.[1] The song was given the certificate for the "best selling download single in Japan" by the Guinness World Records on June 29, 2009.
So from what you said, Stay with me should be holding that record lol and we all know it wasn't nearly as popular as kiseki.
Whoever said it did well digitally was lying, especially cuz Days took the #1 position for December for digital downloads, so should we imagine how much Days sold digitally then? I think that Oricon still reflects the popularity of the release quite well, at least compared to the other releases
