^ well to be honest, nowdays, only a few male bands and JE boybands are considered as strong competition and they all avoid each others as well. Ayu could take any other female artist on when it comes to singles, but obviously people too avoid releasing when she is, and not just vv.
It's not like B'z had strong competition this week either.
