LOL. I think you might have thought my tone was harsher than it was. I didn't say she's trying to act like a teenager, I said she's trying to look like one. And there's a difference between trying to look younger and trying to look like a teenager when you're...what? 30? 31? It's unsettling. And almost immature (though this is my opinion, not everyone's).
And regarding image: I'm not talking about whether she's "ugly" or not. I'm talking about an image that strike someone as, "Ayu." And not her whole personality, included. I'm talking about her clothes, fashion...outward appearance. Right now it seems she's trying to do more exploring with her image (and that's a GOOD thing!), but it's not giving her a cohesive appeal. Nowadays she's like, "today I'm 17, today I'm 30, today I'm trying to use sex appeal, today I'm trying to be 20 things at once," and frequently without portraying her personality into the images. You can see her emotions frequently in her past photoshoots (it made the image), but nowadays it seems like it's just about the clothes.

I believed (though still kept my mind open) before 2008 that she didn't necessarily have any kind of surgeries. I suppose it's possible, but I don't really believe she did. Her face changed naturally over time, and make-up could make her face look completely different for different images.
But I really have had my opinion changed now, and I've got enough evidence for me to not need the reassurance that other people also think so. Most people on here don't think she did have her nose changed, that it's just photoshoped, but I'm allowed my opinion. I'm a full-on, long-lived Ayu fan, who has gone through with her for most of her career and never thought anything of her having surgery. I know well enough if something about her has changed. And I'm perfectly fine with other people not agreeing with me. Their arguments have valid points, as well as mine. But I think as long as we can all pose our viewpoints in decent and polite ways, I really don't think we should get flamed. I have definitely seen it in the past, and I really think it was uncalled for. But a lot of people see our view as something negative about Ayu's image and then think of our opinion as negative, so they dislike what we're saying and take offense. So I can see how people get offended and defensive, but I refuse to take that as a reason to not say what I think in a decent manner. We can get offended, too, by their remarks, after all.

I seriously agree with this. If she had done something to her face pre-2008--whether I believe it happened or not--I think she looked gorgeous. Whatever happened with her nose (be it surgery or heaps of photoshop) has seriously depleted a considerable amount of her beauty. Entire photoshoots and pictures are ruined for me by just the shape of her nose. It looks ugly and unnatural to me. It is a serious hurt to her beauty, in my opinion.

I agree with this, as well. Her videos and behind the scenes show the same nose as in her photoshoots. Noses can be photoshopped in pictures but not videos.
Whatever, though; this isn't a thread about whether she got surgery or not.
I do think that her dress in the last picture is gorgeous, though.
I want it.
