The story revolves around a rock band named [LANDS] with four members during the '90s when rock bands were a great hit. It is about the friendship and growth of the members through experiencing hardships, and each others stubborn opinions.
The main character 高杉夏 played by Akanishi Jin is the bright and energetic lead vocalist of a rock band (LANDS) in Tokyo.
With the help of Takasugi's popularity, and 幸也's talents, they decide to present themselves as musicians on their stage of hope, RunZ. Before they are able to make their debut on the stage, the members each go through many difficult challenges. As they make their first step onto the stage, their popularity increases. However, the members must face different issues such as friendship, difference in opinions, sorrow, desires, and quarrels with the adults surrounding them. The least unexpected event was that the leader of the band became the 'visual point'* of 麻子, a girl who just entered high school.
This film beautifully paints the lights and darks of life.
