It's funny you say that, I cannot stand the across the universe soundtrack.
I LOVE cover songs, but honestly a lot of them should NEVER be done. Ill talk about one cover I cannot stand. Everyone familiar with 'Bohemian rhapsody' by Queen? Every cover I have ever heard of it was UTTER FAILURE. I've heard maybe ONE cover fo the song I liked by Lucia Micarelli:

but other than that....you just can't do that song correctly.
And to post about the 'sweet dreams are made of this' cover by Manson, I liked it a lot. He does some pretty neat coever songs...but I could also be biased cause I REALLY like Manson
