She had some hits, but she was never someone like namie amuro, ayumi hamasaki, koda kumi or even ai otsuka. Her sales were always very fluctuating and she had no regular sales pattern. One of her singles never charted higher than 30, but had quite high sales due to the long chart run, aome other esp animé tie ins were front heavy. This makes it seem to me like she never really aquired a large body of cpnsistent followers. The good sales of her cover album points in the same direction.

I think it went down hill after her first best album (popularity wise), despite many of her absolutely best song being released after it. So I hope we get to hear more from her, as I love her voice.
