also, in this video, it just so works out that the vocal track is perfect. That happens usually 1% of the time when making a vocal track. 99% of the time, you need to not only invert, but also filter out other stuff later.

lol people

in audacity
upload original song in first slot
upload karaoke/instrumental in second slot
double click on the original song in the first slot to bring it into edit view
make sure the song is stopped, not paused
at the top go to "effects", then "invert"
then at the top right, go back to multitrack view
hit play and zoom in very well. try to line up both songs as well as possible. the closer you sync them up, the less music you hear.
hit stop, go to file, export, and save it.

if you want, you can reload the new vocal track you made and filter out more sounds throgh the adaptive noise reducer. or something called that back in edit view, under effects but that's only if you really want to.

Maybe its because I haven't listened to the instrumentals (all 6 that I have... :/) enough times and with enough intent to notice any diference between them and their originals, but the only instrumental I noticed a significant difference in was the karaoke version of Caramelldansen. (I'm not saying that you're wrong, or that there is no difference, just that I never noticed one myself)

[edit] and before anyone goes to some huge trouble on my behalf (yeah, right...), its not really a big deal to me if i can make vocal tracks or not. I just thought I'd give my input.
audition works with mp3. you know wmp does rip songs in mp3 format (in 320 kbps too) if you change it.
now playing > more options > rip music > Format: (drop down bar) mp3 > very bottom, the slider bar, slide it as far right as possible for highest/best quality when ripping songs > ok.

Not sure if you wanted that or not though, but you mentioned audition doesn't accept wma format.
