You can generalize the thousands and thousands and artists from a whole country... Though I personally agree with Andrenekoi, most mainstream J-pop artists have borrowed and are inspired by both american and european rhythms, choreographies, fashions. The tendency to dye hair blonde by many artists, and to stage broadway or madonna-like shows are just some examples, and many japanese boy bands are extremely similar to late-90's western acts.... Pop itself as music genre was imported from the US
