Well, here in Germany, singers earn 10-30%, songwriters additional 20-30%(this is shared between lyrics and song itself) and the rest(40-70%) goes to the record company, it will probably be similar in japan
Ayu is in the industry for a long time, so I guess we can say she earns a little more, probably between 30 and 50%, 50-60 if she wrote all the song
thats my guess(only applys to singles, albums and Best ofs), if she earned less, she probably would have changed labels by now
she of course earns from concerts, CMs and merchandise as well, but theres nothing as "fixed" as for CD and DVD sales, like CMs for example, they can go from 50.000 dollars to several millions
