From the beginning? Excuse me, but she was on the absolute top during Baby and Oops... Maybe some people laughed about it but you bet they all secretly had her album and listened to her songs.
Sure, after the whole drug-shaving thing she went downhill, but don't forget this woman is still one of the most important pop icons ever.
