The rollin' and sparkle performances were a joke. Whoever made the choreography for them should be fired. The costumes were bleh. The singing was bleh. The music was bleh. It was overall mediocre, which is something you shouldn't expect from a top selling artist.
I mean, I understand there's this whole global recession thing that's still going on, but seriously? Because she doesnt have all the fancy props, the actual talent should shine through more, or at least be pushed harder. Ayu's not that old, I mean if Madonna can still at least keep you interested, I don't see why Ayu has to resort to twirling her hand/dancing the same through two different songs. After seeing how robotic/systematic she has gotten with her performances I was wondering what it would be like for her to just let go, but if this is it then I rather she stick with giving the same acted/extremely choreographed performance every time. At least then it looks like there was more effort put into it than just getting her dolled up, putting her in front of giant screens, and handing her a mic.
I was hopeful for this tour since the songs on NEXT LEVEL weren't amazing, but somehow they always manage to be made better because the live version's interpretation. This time, I think I rather stick with the album versions.
Ayu, avex, the whole production team, who ever's in charge... seriously, step your game up.
EDIT: Oh, and as for evolution/SIGNAL, why is she yelling at me? I dont understand why she just yells everything now instead of actually singing. It's sad when the back up singers are SINGING more than the actual lead.
On a positive note, the stage/costumes were appropriate this time, since these two performances don't have much concept behind them besides just having fun/sparkly stuff, unlike rollin'/sparkle which had a completely different mood and concept. FAIL.
