I agree completely on that one. The orchestral version definitely gets to me WAY more than the original. To me, if the focus is on the melody, so much more true emotion can really be conveyed.

It's really just that when ayu's arrangers try to make an arrangement more grandiose, the whole thing feels mleh (or, in the case of songs like "Voyage," downright cheesy) as a result. If the whole song is powerful, then none of the song is.
